I have some bonus tips for you.

There are some steps I took quite deliberately, like the following:

1. Building a Backlog of clients from none to 100 a month

“There's no question that the toughest part of starting a new business is finding your first client. Once you have your first client, everything else falls into place–you can perfect your product or service, start making a profit, and begin to expand. But without that first client, it's hard to get the ball rolling.

Read: How to Build a Backlog of Clients from none to 100 a month

In the above post, I'll show you how to build a backlog of clients from none to 100 a month and where to find them easily. You'll learn what a client backlog is, how to create one, and how to fill it with high-quality leads. By the end, you'll have everything you need to get your business off the ground.”

2. Growing my current client's book of business by 10% per month

I learned in 2020, that there is nothing as rewarding as growing my current client's book of business by 10% every month while retaining existing clients. This type of growth allows me to focus on creating additional value for my clients, which is the most important thing to me.

3. Make it easier for prospects/clients to give me money

Well, you may say this is not a big deal, but from experience, it is very important.

There are several ways to make it easier for prospects and clients to give you money. One way is to offer a variety of payment options. You can accept credit cards, PayPal, or even checks.

Another way to make it easier for people to pay you is to offer a discount for early payment. For example, you could offer a 5% discount for payment within 30 days.

You can also make it easier for people to pay you by simplifying your invoicing process. Make sure your invoices are clear and easy to understand and include all the important information (such as your contact information, payment terms, etc.). You can also set up automatic billing so that people can pay you without having to think about it.

4. I set my rates and amount of work monthly

As a freelance writer, it's important to set your rates and amount of work monthly. This helps you stay on top of your finances and work-life balance.

There are a few things to consider when setting your rates. First, think about your experience and expertise. What are you worth? Second, think about the market rate for your services. If you're in a high-demand field, you can charge more. Third, think about your financial goals. How much do you need to make per month to reach your goal?

Once you've considered all of these factors, you can set your rates. Once you have your rates, you can start to look for work. Use job boards, networking, and your personal network to find work.

The best way to set your rates is to first consider your overhead costs. This includes your costs of living, travel, equipment, and other business expenses. Once you know your overhead costs, you can then set your rates based on the type of work you'll be doing and your desired profit margin.

It's also important to consider the amount of work you can realistically do in a month. If you're just starting out, you may not be able to commit to a full-time workload. In this case, it's best to start off with a smaller workload and gradually increase it as you gain more experience and confidence.

To make $10,000 monthly, I determine that with a $100 per writing gig, I could make $1000 for every 10 clients or jobs. and for every 100 clients, I could generate over $10,000 monthly.

If you're worth $50 per project, then you'll be working towards getting 200 different clients in a month to meet up the $10,000 per month limit.

So, how easy it is to make $10,000 monthly from freelance writing gigs is solely dependent on your ability to satisfy as many clients as possible.

In conclusion, freelance writing can be a great way to earn money while doing something you love.

By following the steps outlined in this article, you can start building a successful career as a freelance writer. First, identify your niche and target market, and then create a portfolio of your work to showcase your skills and experience.

Network with other writers and potential clients, and use online job boards and social media to find writing gigs.

Set your rates and negotiate with clients to ensure that you are being fairly compensated for your work. With hard work and dedication, you can turn your passion for writing into a fulfilling and lucrative career.
